Vista's Windows Media Center is problematic on my machine. It seems that it does not support multiple monitors well. I wanted to watch a DVD tonight while working on the computer but I had the following issues:
- When setting it to full screen on one of my monitors, it captures the mouse so I can't work on the other displays. The solution is to just size it to the maximum it can fit in the display without maximizing the window.
- Trying to exit from full screen by using Alt-Tab sometimes freezes the application.
- Moving the window from one display to the other sometimes freezes it.
- DVD playback is slow.
So much for "Armageddon" tonight. I might just have to settle for Windows Media Player.
