Vista's Windows Media Center Not So Good On My Machine

Windows Media CenterVista's Windows Media Center is problematic on my machine. It seems that it does not support multiple monitors well. I wanted to watch a DVD tonight while working on the computer but I had the following issues:

  1. When setting it to full screen on one of my monitors, it captures the mouse so I can't work on the other displays. The solution is to just size it to the maximum it can fit in the display without maximizing the window.
  2. Trying to exit from full screen by using Alt-Tab sometimes freezes the application.
  3. Moving the window from one display to the other sometimes freezes it.
  4. DVD playback is slow.

So much for "Armageddon" tonight. I might just have to settle for Windows Media Player.
